Tits Up Transformation Sewing Challenge 2021

Tits Up Transformation Sewing Challenge 2021

I'm so excited to tell you about a sewing challenge that I am running with Aileen at Sew Yarn Crafty & Studio for the launch of the new series of Great British Sewing Bee.

Sew Yarn Crafty & Studio are planning a fabulous virtual party to celebrate the finale in June as a fundraiser for two wonderful charities - @BreastCancerNow and @CLICsargent.

Little Rosy Cheeks and Sew Yarn Crafty are super excited to launch our #TitsUpTransformationChallenge to coincide with the new series of the Sewing Bee! We are challenging anyone who has a sewing project (or any craft!) that hasn’t worked, that has gone a bit, well, ‘tits up’... to rework, reuse or reshape it into something new for a chance to win some fabulous prizes!

Anyone, from anywhere in the world, is welcome to join in! All you need to do is:

  • Share your make on your Instagram feed between now and June 16th – you can take part as many times as you like! Remember to share a ‘before’ photo of what you are transforming.
  • Tag #TitsUpTransformationChallenge in your post
  • Tag @little.rosy.cheeks
  • Tag @sewyarncraftyandstudio

We have some amazing prizes to give away that have been donate by some brilliant folk in our sewing community. Winners will be chosen at random and the deadline for entry is 6pm on the evening of the final episode, which gives you plenty of time to dig an unloved project out of your cupboard and relive your very own Sewing Bee Transformation Challenge!

Prizes include:
@sewyarncraftyandstudio - £50 voucher
@little.rosy.cheeks - £30 voucher
@bawntextiles - £30 voucher
@jenerates – bespoke sewing ruler
@benmmoore @luckless_romantic – one of a kind t-shirt
@sewconfident – virtual overlocker workshop voucher worth £59
@craftandthrift - £50 voucher and two ‘sew-your-own-undies’ kits
@pipedreampatterns – two pdfs pattern bundle
@aliceandcopatterns – one pdf pattern and a copy of ‘A Little Book of Sewing Tips”
@makewithmandi – one pdf pattern
@madeit_patterns – the ‘Eight Tee’ pdf pattern

This year’s virtual party will celebrate “Sewing Connections” and everything that brings us together as a creative community. We will be joined by past Sewing Bee contestants including Jen Hogg, Ben Moore and Mercedes Ferrari-Plumridge to give us all the inside gossip, and tell us about the connections they made on the show. Plus Bevan @bawntextiles discusses Irish women collaborating in business, Judith @sewover50 talks about her connections with the international sewing community, Jenny @sewconfident chats about the challenges of diversifying your creative business during lockdown and Victoria (that's me!) @little.rosy.cheeks tells us how she started a business in a pandemic. Aileen Wright, owner of SYC, and Lesley @sew_sleep_deprived will talk about how they connected through Sew Scottish and their passion for the charities we are fundraising for.

Tickets for the zoom party will be available from www.sewyarncrafty.com click here and are priced at £5, with options to choose £10 or £20 for those who wish to donate more. All proceeds from the event will be split evenly between Breast
Cancer Now and CLIC Sargent, two charities close to our hearts.

Hope you enjoy the challenge, this years Sewing Bee series and can't wait to see your transformations!

Victoria
